Winning Workplaces and FORTUNE Small Business Names New York Businessman as one of the 2004 Best Bosses
John Pennisi, President and CEO of Medical Management Resources, Inc. (MMRI) was recently honored as one of the nation's top small business leaders. Fortune Small Business magazine and Winning Workplaces announced their second annual list of Best Bosses, 15 outstanding "all-terrain" business leaders who are able to motivate employees through a rough patch of continued belt-tightening and also plot new ways to exploit emerging growth opportunities. With 210 companies nominated nationwide, the field was narrowed down to 35 finalists, from which the 15 winners were selected by a panel of national business experts.
Founded in 1986, MMRI is a medical billing and practice management company located in East Syracuse, NY. The only finalist from New York State, Pennisi is the epitome of a "Best Boss" in the eyes of his employees. By creating a people-friendly workplace, MMRI's turnover rate is below the industry standard.
